About Me
Rosa Corday, RD, LD/N
Successfully completed the Certificate of Training in Obesity for Pediatrics and Adults Course from the Commission on Dietetic Registration: October 2022
I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. My dietetic internship was completed through the Pasco County Health Department and provided a strong focus on maternal and pediatric nutrition.
My career as a registered dietitian (RD) began with the Florida Department of Health in the
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) division
where I continued to gain experience in the area of maternal nutrition (including prenatal, postpartum, lactation support, gestational diabetes, and medical nutrition therapy for those with pre-existing diabetes during pregnancy.)
Next, I have worked in several clinical settings
(Lakeland Regional Medical Center, HCA hospitals throughout Central Florida, Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando and Adventhealth) where I have worked with a wide range of patients (infants to elderly and from various cultures) needing specialized diets.
Since early in my career I have enjoyed educating patients on ways to improve their nutritional health and I am a strong believer that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
I have also had the opportunity to provide group nutrition sessions in various settings including hospital outpatient diabetes management programs, support groups, health fairs, corporate events, and church groups and events.
I feel blessed to work in a field that can truly make a big impact on a person's health and life and I love using my vast experience and acquired knowledge to assist others.
I currently reside with my husband and three children in the Orlando area.
